Many couples struggle with finding a cohesive parenting style once children come into the picture. When it comes to parenting, there is not necessarily a “right way” or a “wrong way,” but it is important to find an approach that both parents can feel comfortable using. I work with parents to help them to develop a unified parenting style. I also talk with parents about their child’s personality type and offer suggestions for techniques based on their child’s unique needs. Not every approach or technique works well for every child.
If you are separated or divorced, I can also provide co-parenting coaching and assisting with parenting plans which have a child-centered focus. Sometimes after a divorce or separation the only thing a couple can agree on is that they want the best possible outcome for their child or children. This is where we’ll start. I will meet with both of you, individually and then together, to help you come up with a plan that you both can feel good about, knowing you are taking steps to make this transition as smooth as possible for your child.
